1.Port Jebel Ali, Dubai (UAE)

Jebel Ali (also sometime written "Mina Jabal Ali") is a deep port located in Jebel Ali Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Jebel Ali is the world's largest man-made harbour and the biggest port in the Middle East. Port Jebel Ali was constructed in the late 1970s to supplement the facilities at Port Rashid.

Jebal Ali port ranks the top port for handling 13,270,000 TEUs in 2012, an increase of  270,000  TEUs from 2011

2. Jeddah Islamic Port, Jeddah (Saudi Arabia)

King Saud International Seaport (also called Jeddah Islamic Seaport) has an excellent location in the middle of the international shipping route between east and west.

The port lies on the Red Sea coast at latitude 21° 28' north and longitude 39° 10' east. It is the Saudi's principal port serving the holy cities of Mecca and Medina. The port serves the commercial centres through which 59% of the Saudi's imports by sea are being handled.

An increase of 719,238 TEUs from previous year resulted in 4,738,002 TEUs in 2012 holding the second port within the Arab countries

3.Sharjah/Khorfakkan, UAE

Khorfakkan is one of the world's leading container transshipment ports. It is strategically located on Sharjah's 

Indian Ocean coast, outside the sensitive Straits of Hormuz and close to the main east-west shipping routes. It is only three hours from the UAE's main centres of population, Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi on the Arabian Gulf coast. Khorfakkan's location makes it an obvious choice for shipping lines with large transshipment volumes.

4.Port Said, Egypt

Port Said, an important harbour for exports of Egyptian products like cotton and rice, but also a fueling station for ships that pass through the Suez Canal. It thrives on being a duty-free port, as well as a tourist resort especially during summer.

The political disputes and riots in Egypt have lead to the decline of shipments via Egypt. But maintained 4^th with the decrease of 675,303 TEUs from 2011

5. Port Salalah, Oman

Port of Salalah is a world class transshipment hub in the West Central Asia Region. Situated right at the major East-West shipping lanes, Salalah enjoys an attractive strategic location in the heart of the Indian Ocean Rim and caters to some of the world’s largest ocean going vessels.

Salalah Port proved its ability by handling 419,300 TEUs more in 2012 and can be forcasted that it can step up to 4^th rank within an year of span.
